Imagined Panes, Unwritten Stories is a deeply personal exhibition that grew out of my curiosity about the architecture and spirit of Yemen—the place my father once called home. In this series, I imagined walking the same streets where he ran as a child and where families gathered for Shabbat services. Visiting Yemen has become less and less possible over time, so I turned to painting as a way to reach it. Through these works, I reimagine the homes, buildings, and luminous qamaria windows that connect me to a place I’ve never seen but deeply feel. This exhibition is both a love letter and an act of preservation—an attempt to hold onto fragments of memory and to dream them forward through art.
